Empower Coaching Academy Mission

As a coach training academy, our organizational mission is to empower individuals with the art and science necessary to become successful coaches. Our vision is to be recognized as a leader in coach education, providing innovative and effective programs that meet the needs of our diverse community.

Our learning philosophy is grounded in the belief that coaching is a collaborative process that involves self-awareness, active listening, open communication, lifelong learning, and mutual respect. We strive to create a safe and inclusive learning environment that encourages exploration, reflection, and growth. Our program management is guided by a commitment to continuous improvement and a focus on meeting the evolving needs of our learners.

Are you considering Life Coach Certification? Your journey as a Certified Professional Empower Coach begins here at the Empower Coach Training Academy.

Our program is unique as it begins with you, the coach in training. We wholeheartedly believe, Empowered People, Empower People.

Our coach certification program is a gentle 6-month process that begins with you and ends with a fully certified coach, able to create a space and a process to help empower others.

Our program involves three levels:

Level One – Foundations

This beginning level is nearly all synchronous and designed to build a solid foundation from which to build your coaching skills. Level one begins with The Power of Intention – a course entirely focused on you! Next, you’re off to Essential Coaching Skills, learning the basics of coaching, practicing models, techniques, and skills. You deepen your awareness of the art and science of coaching and how to create a coaching mindset.

Level Two – Core Comp Intensive

This is where we turn the corner into a coach training deep dive, creating more advanced coaching skills and awareness. You will take three synchronous trainings:

Core Comps One, Two, and Three. You will begin partner coaching on a regular basis, get coached by an ICF PCC level coach, and join our monthly Coaching Circles and Mindful Masterclasses.

Level Three –  Mentor Coaching and Practicum Intensive

Our final level is designed to prepare you for professional coaching. This level is mostly asynchronous work – allowing you to fit this training into your life. You will work one-on-one with a mentor coach to review your coaching sessions (meeting ICF ACC requirements for testing) and receive feedback. You will complete coaching hours and practice all while continuing to get support through our monthly Coaching Circles and Mindful Masterclasses.

We train and certify coaches, making sure you’ve got all you need to strengthen and/or build a career you love.

  • ICF Certified, deeply knowledgeable, and very experienced INSTRUCTORS
  • Diverse students from all areas of professional experiences and goals.
  • All ECS concepts are grounded in neuroscience, research, trauma-informed care, solution-focused thinking, developmental and positive psychology, mindfulness, and emotional intelligence.ICF
  • Accreditation Submitted and awaiting approval  (LEVEL 1 – ACC)
  • Training program designed for virtual learning includes cohort based work (synchronous) and individual work (asynchronous)
  • Built-in support including individual coaching for you, mentor coach requirements, post-program support, instructor office hours, and much more

Our program is as unique as you. We look forward to connecting.

Please reach out with questions. Add your name to the information list. We’ll be sending invites out very soon for an information session in september.

Empower CPEC Coach Academy Learning Philosophy

Empower CPEC Academy’s Learning Philosophy is designed to empower coaches to help individuals and organizations achieve their goals. At the core of this philosophy is the belief that every individual has unique strengths and abilities that can be harnessed to achieve success. The Empower CPEC Academy’s program is designed to help coaches develop the skills and knowledge necessary to help clients identify and leverage these strengths.

Empower CPEC Academy’s Learning Philosophy emphasizes the importance of active listening, empathy, and collaboration. Coaches are encouraged to create a supportive and non-judgmental environment in which clients feel free to explore their thoughts and feelings. Through this process of exploration, coaches are able to help clients identify their goals and develop a plan of action to achieve them.
Empower CPEC Academy’s Learning Philosophy also emphasizes the importance of ongoing learning and development. Coaches are encouraged to continually expand their knowledge and skills in order to provide the best possible support to their clients. Through ongoing training, coaches are able to stay up-to-date with the latest coaching techniques and best practices, ensuring that they are able to provide the highest quality coaching services to their clients.

Empower Coaching Illness Policy

At Empower Coaching, we’ve customized the coach training experience to fit different schedules for working professionals. To provide you with the minimum required training hours for certification, it is essential and highly encouraged to attend all live (synchronous) sessions and complete the training as sequentially offered.

To become a Certified Professional Empower Coach, you must complete the educational and practical requirements totaling 85 hours and demonstrate proficiency in the minimum skills requirements for an ACC credentialed coach set forth by the ICF (International Coach Federation).

If you have an emergency, become ill, cannot attend at least 80% of all live synchronous training, or believe you won’t be able to complete the courses with your cohort, please contact Tiffany Grimes at tiffany@yesempower.com to receive support and discuss specific accommodations.

We understand that emergencies happen beyond a person’s control, and we have built-in flexibility to make up sessions offered with future cohorts. You will be expected to review the session materials, complete assignments, review the session recording, and complete one-on-one coaching practice outside the live session as well as attend missed sessions in a future cohort. Level one trainings are offered multiple times throughout the year. Our goal is to offer Level Two & Level Three three times per year. As of this date, August 2023, we have only one Level One and one Level two training scheduled for 2024 since the program is in its infancy.

CPEC DEIJ Statement

CPEC DEIJ Statement

At Empower we honor and celebrate diversity. In all Empower programs, including our Certified Professional Empower Coaching (CPEC) Academy, we respect the individual and unique paths we’ve each taken to get here.

The Empower CPEC Academy recognizes the importance of diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice (DEIJ) in the coaching profession. We are committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment for all individuals, regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, age, or ability. We believe that coaching should be accessible to everyone and strive to create a diverse community of coaches and clients. We acknowledge the systemic barriers that exist in society and actively work to address them in our coach training programs. Our coaches are trained to be culturally competent and sensitive to the unique experiences and perspectives of each individual they work with. We are committed to ongoing education and growth in our DEIJ practices and welcome feedback from our clients and community.

CPEC Complaint and grievance procedure

The Empower’s CPEC Academy encourages use of our complaint and grievance process. The Empower CPEC Academy encourages the first step be that Individuals resolve concerns or grievances at the informal level with the individual(s) involved. If the grievance cannot be resolved at the informal level, a formal grievance can be submitted in writing or verbally to Tiffany Grimes at tiffany@yesempower.com. Both written and verbal grievances must contain with specificity the facts supporting the grievance, the attempt to resolve the grievance at the informal level, and the name and contact information for the person(s) filing the grievance.

We are committed to addressing all properly filed grievances fairly and promptly.

Upon receipt of a grievance, the academy will investigate the matter thoroughly and will keep the individual informed of the progress.

We aim to resolve any complaints and/or grievances within a reasonable timeframe and will take appropriate action where necessary to prevent recurrence.
